About Cam: After graduation from the University of Rhode Island and prior to employment with the Flat Rock Brook Nature Association, Cameron Kanterman worked with the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, Rutgers University, and the Native Plant Society of New Jersey in order to better understand native plant ecology, pollinator networks, and invasive species management. Early in his career, he taught elementary science in New York City.
A lifelong naturalist, Cameron endeavors to promote native plant conservation and land stewardship through observation and reflection. Over his career, he has fostered appreciation and respect for nature through a series of guided nature walks and lectures focusing on the ecology of New Jersey's native plants.
He lives in the Watchung Mountains with his wife Rebecca and their two young children Magnolia and Cooper. In the words of his daughter Magnolia, "Daddy really likes to look at trees!
